US Import Tariff Update – April 11th 2025
Thank you for your interest in TOR Minerals International Inc. and its subsidiaries. Given the current uncertainty in the global markets, we wanted to clarify our current interpretation that sales of our products into the United States of America are exempt from the recent tariffs listed in the April 2nd Executive Order.
- Titanium Dioxide US imports remain unchanged regarding tariffs. The applicable HTS code 3206.11.10.00 is listed in Annex 2 of the Executive order
- Aluminum Hydroxide (Boehmite & ATH) US imports also remain unchanged regarding tariffs. The applicable HTS code 2818.30 is listed in Annex 2 of the Executive Order.
TOR Minerals was founded more than 50 years ago in the United States, and has its corporate office in Corpus Christi, Texas. We sell products in the United States from our processing plants in Ipoh, Malaysia, and Hattem, Netherlands. Our products are 100% processed in these locations.
